We are a community-focused organization of probate consultants based in Newark, New Jersey.
Essex County Newark Probate Preservation (ECNPP) was created to help residents of Essex County navigate the Surrogate's Court process when a loved one passes away. For many families, becoming an administrator or executor is unfamiliar territory — and the paperwork, deadlines, and legal language can feel overwhelming.
Our role is to walk with you through every step: explaining the process in plain English (or Spanish), helping you organize documents, and connecting you with licensed attorneys when legal questions arise. For families experiencing financial hardship, we help access grants and programs that cover the legal expenses of opening an estate.
